What is Die-Cutting?
Die-cutting is a finishing process using sharp steel rules mounted in
plywood to cut designs and shapes, of any size, from paper to achieve
visual and functional effects in any paper product.
EliteFoil provides die-cutting services that can be utilized by anyone
who would like high quality die-cutting with a low cost. The actual die
is furnished by the customer or is made by a die-maker that is familiar
with our company and requirements. This together with our uique method
of setup results in a very high quality product.
Other services we provide include:
- Perforation - The process of punching round or
slotted holes in paper, so that one portion of the sheet may be
detached from another.
- Scoring - A crease in a sheet of paper that
establishes position for a fold. The process can be done using a steel
rule with a rounded edge embedded in a wood base, either by itself or
as part of a die-cutting die.
